Carry On is quite a useful mod that adds a bit of extra functionality to the item carrying aspect of Minecraft in order to make the gameplay experience feel a bit more convenient for the players. As it stands right now, vanilla Minecraft doesn’t really let players pick up single block entities or small mobs even though it should because these entities are easily big enough to fit the hand and the ability to do so would thematically align with the game as well. Fortunately, though, the Carry On mod remedies the issue by allowing players to carry various new things thereby making the experience a tad bit more convenient for everyone.
Thanks to the carry on mod, you’ll be able to carry single block entities like chests, furnaces, droppers, and hoopers around in your hand. The mod also gives players the ability to carry small animals and mobs such as pigs and, while these things might not seem like much on paper, they can actually have a pretty significant impact on the overall gameplay and, on top of all this, they make things feel more realistic as well because it’s more realistic to watch your character actually carry things around instead of stuffing every single thing in its inventory.
Using the Carry On mod is simple because all players have to do is sneak and right click whenever their character’s hands are empty, and their character will immediately pick up any compatible item or entity within range. Once something has been picked up, you can simply walk around with it as much as you place and, when it comes time to put the item down, all you have to do is hit the right click button once. Overall, Carry On is a great mod that’s certainly worth installing.
