ChickenShed Mod for Minecraft 1.8/1.7.10

This is one of the simplest mods around for Minecraft and it’s because the mod is so simple that it also doesn’t do anything to substantially change the flow of the game. Chickens normally have a low chance to drop feathers along with the raw chicken you get when cooking them, and baby chickens don’t drop anything at all. This mod changes that by guaranteeing a feather drop from grown and baby chickens when you kill them, or when they drown, or set themselves on fire – basically if a chicken dies and you’re around to see, you’ll be able to get feathers in addition to meat, guaranteed. That’s the ChickenShed mod.

So what good is the ChickenShed mod? Well, it can help you get materials for crafting arrows without making you breed chickens and wait an hour for them to grow into adulthood. That’s pretty much it. It’s a mod of limited use, but that doesn’t mean it is a bad utility, not hardly. This is a great mod for Minecraft players who aren’t lucky enough to know where a skeleton spawner is, and it helps cut down on the need to build a mob spawner because arrows are one of the major reasons players build these structures in the first place.
