What if Minecraft was a game about dancing rather than farming, mining and building? It wouldn’t really look all that good with its blocky textures and simple Nintendo-esque graphics. But the Dancing Life resource pack adds all kinds of spins, flourishes and other dancing moves to the game. You’ll find mobs, even the hostile ones, dance towards you rather than walking in a straight line. It doesn’t make them any less dangerous though, so please refrain from joining with them to move your feet and rock your body. They really just want to kill you like they always have.
The amount of custom animations in the Dancing Life pack is surprising considering the textures remain at a simple 16x resolution. There are even some 3D models worth mentioning, like beds, sugar cane and crafting tables, which you can actually see right through as if they were made of glass rather than wood. Some of the armor textures are pretty nice too, especially the leather armor which looks something like an Iron Man suit and nothing at all like the usual boring, brown suit in vanilla Minecraft. This is a finished resource pack so even some of the mobs have been updated, though spiders look the same.
Other textures remain unchanged as well. Just look to the netherwort, soul sand and glowstone blocks from the Nether to see this with your own eyes. While these remain the same, just about every other texture in Minecraft is changed, and some of them even have new, custom animations. If you’re looking for something that’s cutesy and looks painted over with lots of bright colors then you’ll probably like this pack. If the dancing motif doesn’t really do it for you just find something else.
