The Extra Things mod is a pretty simple mod that’s designed to add a lot of useful items to Minecraft in order to make the experience more enjoyable and considerably more convenient for the players. It’s worth mentioning beforehand that it only has two items to choose from as of right now, but this is mainly because the mod was released fairly recently and still has a long way to go before being fully completed. However, despite the lack of variety, the items that do exist are pretty useful and will enhance your gameplay quite significantly and take it to the next level.
The two items currently available in the Extra Things mod are sashes; the first is the Soujouner’s Sash and the second is the Globetrotter’s Sash. It’s definitely recommended that you use these items in conjunction with one another because they complement each other very nicely and therefore function much better. Using them doesn’t require any major effort either, all you need to do is have them present in your inventory and they’ll function as they were equipped.
Having both the Soujouner’s Sash and Globtrotter’s Sash in your inventory will give your character a pretty significant movement speed boost, a jump boost and they’ll even provide step assistance during scenarios in which you have to move up a hill. Overall, movement across the game world becomes really convenient with the items that this mod currently has to offer, and it’s bound to have more useful items later on as well when the developer decides to update it. The Extra Things mod is only compatible with Minecraft 1.9 and above so using it with any older versions of Minecraft is probably a bad idea since you’re bound to run into compatibility issues if you do so. It’s also worth mentioning that the mod requires version 1.9 of the forge at the very least to function properly.
