It’s Forby is a resource pack that definitely scores major points for how unique it is. Going up in resolution is something that a lot of resource packs do in order to give players textures that are more detailed but toning the resolution down is a fairly uncommon thing to do. Some packs have gone as low as 8 bit, but the It’s Forby resource pack takes things to a whole new level and tones the textures all the way down to 4 bits. The 4-bit art style definitely takes a bit of getting used to but, surprisingly enough, the textures actually look quite impressive and this, alongside the refreshing art style, is sure to give players a delightful visual experience.
It goes without saying that a high level of detail is something that you shouldn’t expect from the It’s Forby resource pack because, as mentioned above, the resolution is fairly low and this low resolution doesn’t really leave a lot of room for implementing detail into the textures. However, even in spite of the low-resolution textures, the pack looks gorgeous thanks to the vibrant color palette that accompanies it and also due to the fact that there doesn’t seem to be any noise in the textures. Some textures tend to look a bit too dark at times, but this is a minor issue that only occurs on a select few textures so it probably won’t hinder your experience all that much.
The best part about the It’s Forby resource pack is, of course, the fact that players will be able to run it at stable frame-rates without any trouble at all, even if they play Minecraft on low-end computers and this is all thanks to the low resolution of the pack.
