Liquid Enchanting Mod for Minecraft 1.8/1.7.10

If you’ve been playing Minecraft for very long, you’ve probably made it to the Nether once or twice. You probably also know that you need drops from monsters there to make a brewing stand, as well as how powerful and helpful many potions can be. But did you know there’s a mod which allows you to attach those potions effects to your weapons and armor, as if they were permanent enchantments? The Liquid Enchanting mod is something many people probably haven’t heard of before, but it’s also a mod many will love and keep after downloading it and giving it a try.

First, the basics. You can use potions to enchant anything you can wear and any sword. This works for leather, iron, chain, gold and diamond equipment as well as wooden, stone, iron, gold and diamond swords. Each item can only be enhanced with a single potion effect in this manner, so you’ll want to think carefully before you commit to one. Because Minecraft will look at these “enchanted” weapons and armor as if they were still normal and plain, each item can be further enchanted using a magic book or an enchanting table to create some truly powerful equipment.

There are some restrictions on which potions you can use to enchant what items. Basic and second level potions can be used to enhance swords, though no splash potions or those buffed up with an extended duration will work for this. Armor is much the same except healing, harming and regeneration, which can’t be placed on armor at all since they would make the player nigh immortal, or kill them outright. The Liquid Enchanting mod allows for easy enchanting as well – simply place the desired item in the middle of your crafting table window and surround it with the appropriate potion type.

How to install Liquid Enchanting Mod?

1. Download & install Forge API for Minecraft!
2. Download the .zip file, decompress (unzip) and place the Liquid Enchanting – 1.8.0 – 2.0.zip file within your mods (.minecraft/mods) folder.
3. Done all!
