Quality Tools is a mod that adds an elaborate and extremely well-implemented system through which players can gauge the quality of items in Minecraft. As it stands right now, the only major characteristic through which players can determine the quality of an item is its durability but, thanks to this mod, each individual item in the game gets its own unique quality through which players can determine how good it actually is and whether the item is worth the player’s while. The system takes no time to get used to and, once you’ve gotten the hang of how it works, going back to the vanilla system is something that you’ll probably never consider.
The Quality Tools mod basically gives each individual item of the game its own unique quality and this quality will have a pretty significant impact on its statistics. For example, there’s a quality known as Sweeping, and the items that have this quality have a slightly higher reach, and their speed is increased as well. On the other hand, there’s a quality referred to as Vicious that reduces the reach of an item by a minor amount but, in exchange, it can enhance that particular item’s damage by a tremendous amount.
The best thing about the Quality Tools mod is the fact that it doesn’t force players to stick with an item if they don’t like its specific quality. Instead, the mod gives players access to a special reforging station through which players can essentially remake their item with a different quality and keep repeating the process until they land on a quality of their preference. Overall, Quality Tools is an extremely creative Minecraft mod that gives the items of the game a lot more depth and, in turn, makes the gameplay experience more enjoyable.
