The Srvill HD resource pack does a good job of updating the appearance of various mobs found throughout Minecraft. From chickens, which are dyed black, to pig men which look to be some kind of cross between Robocop and Christmas dinner, there’s a lot to see here which you probably haven’t already seen before somewhere else. It’s not just mobs which are addressed by this pack though. Glass seems to have had a lot of good work done on it, so you can actually see through it when looking from various angles and it doesn’t get cloudy or milky from certain perspectives.
Water is also much clearer, and as long as you aren’t out in the middle of the ocean where its dozens of blocks in depth, you can usually see to the bottom of most bodies of water. That means you can spot other players lurking at the bottom of rivers and ponds during PVP, and that’s something every Minecraft player can appreciate. Not everything looks different though. Mushroom biomes look the same as they always have, with the mycelium and the two giant varieties of mushrooms getting no change whatsoever. Oddly enough, small red and brown mushrooms do look different.
The various grasses you can find growing in old forest biomes all look different and new. Grass, tall grass and ferns are usually pieces of Minecraft which get ignored in resource packs, but they are represented well here. The Srvill HD resource pack does feature many high definition textures, so the resolution is significantly higher than normal. If you already struggle to render Minecraft at its native 16x resolution, you might want to stay away from Srvill HD until you get a better GPU.
