TaleCraft Mod for Minecraft 1.10.2

TaleCraft is an extremely high-quality mod that’s been targeted at the many talented map creators of Minecraft. The category of adventure maps is hands down one of the most, if not the most, popular map categories in this game but one minor issue is that the amount of tools that players have at their disposal to create these maps is rather limited which is why they have to find multiple workarounds in order to make sure that their creations function properly and provide an entertaining experience. However, this won’t be an issue any longer once you have the TaleCraft mod installed.

The TaleCraft mod has been designed to allow map creators to craft absolutely phenomenal adventure maps that are capable of getting pretty much any player hooked from the very first minute of gameplay. The mod is loaded with all the features that you need to tell a captivating tale and back it up with the necessary gameplay features. With this mod, you’ll have a much higher level of control over the environment, and you can use this control to manipulate your surroundings so that they better fit your map’s gameplay patterns and of course its story.

It’s worth mentioning that TaleCraft is actually the spiritual successor to AdventureCraft which was another similar mod that wasn’t really maintained that well, so it eventually died out. It’s also important to note that TaleCraft is still in its beta stages which is why a few of its features still aren’t available for use. As of recently, the mod’s been updated to function seamlessly with Minecraft 1.10.2 which is of course great news if you’ve already updated your Minecraft client and don’t want to downgrade it in order to be able to enjoy all the amazing tools that this mod has to offer.

  1. Talecraft offers very simple tools to help adventure map makers, well, make maps.

It has things like unique doors and building blocks, the former of which has a particularly ‘old minecraft’ retro feel to them.
Only issues are, some tools are a bit.. perplexing, to say the least while you don’t know what you’re doing, and one of the décor blocks are replaced with the same solid white texture of the ‘blank’ blocks it adds.
I think the blank blocks themselves are for adding custom textures, but I find it odd one of the specific décor stone blocks share the same textureless appearnece.

This also has something that I love personally, and that is, it adds the plank and cobble texture from a very old texturepack,(the Painterly pack, I think it was called, which is my favorite TP of all time.) which look amazing, as décor blocks. Only problem with that is, there’s no stairs, doors or slab variants of any of these décor blocks, so you might have to make due with vanilla ones that don’t clash badly, or a resource pack.

Also, with this mod, you can plonk down mob spawners as you please, and can change the mob spawned by right-clicking the spawner while holding a spawn egg.(such as say, a creeper egg being held will make it a creeper spawner.) Something I highly wish was vanilla, honestly.

Overall, this is a helpful mod if you’re planning on making highly detailed maps for adventure maps or for yourself, adding helpful tools and a decent amount of beautiful blocks.
