2D Parkour is a map that has been crafted for players who’ve had enough of the default 3D parkour style of Minecraft and are looking for something that’s unlike anything that they’ve seen or experienced before. Because of its 2D nature, the map feels more like a platform game than it does a parkour map but this doesn’t change the fact that it’s very unique and great fun to play. It might be a bit difficult to get the hang of at the beginning due to the drastic shift in perspective but after a level or two, you’ll be able to get the hang of most of its mechanics.
The objective of all the levels in 2D Parkour is, of course, to start from one end of the level and get to the end while avoiding all the obstacles in your path such as the burning flames and cactus plants. If you end up crashing into an obstacle, then you’ll be taken right back to the start of the level and will have to go through the entirety of it once again. There aren’t any checkpoints in the map, and the levels have a lot of obstacles, so it’s definitely quite challenging, especially if you’re new at Minecraft parkour.
2D Parkour is fully compatible with multiplayer, so if you have a few friends who enjoy playing parkour maps, then you can enjoy the experience alongside each other. To make things a bit more interesting, the map also has four different special effect blocks that, when stepped on, will have various special effects that can potentially aid you on your journey to the end. One important thing to keep in mind about this map is that it’s been made to work with Minecraft 1.10 and probably won’t work with any other versions of the game.
