The Adorable resource pack is a relatively new pack for the Minecraft community. It’s been out for over a year already, so many players have seen it once or twice before. You’ll probably recognize it at a glance if you don’t recall the name, like with many other famous resource packs. The 16x resolution is deceptively simple and it is probably only so low because some simple textures are untouched. You’ll notice trees and their leaves look pretty much the same as normal. This helps certain other textures elsewhere in the world to really shine when you have this particular pack loaded.
You’ll probably first notice the new graphics for ores and gems. These feature one large rectangle and one small shape which make up the face of the block. The colors are bright and easy to tell apart, even when you’re mining in low light or no light at all. Among other textures, look for changes in the different types of saplings, both old and new flowers, and all of the stained clay blocks. The Adorable resource pack does a good job of changing the majority of textures in Minecraft, to give the whole world a completely new look. Most players want that rather than just a few different block textures.
You’ll also notice some blocks, like sponges, look strangely more like piles of rocks than they did before. Not every texture in the Adorable resource pack is perfect, but then there isn’t really any such thing as a perfect resource pack either. Overall, this one is good. The low resolution allows most Minecraft players to use this pack and it looks a good deal better than vanilla Minecraft about 90% of the time. It’s pretty much an upgrade.
