Adventure Valley is a Minecraft adventure map that, unlike quite a few of the maps that we’ve seen released recently, hasn’t really been designed with the purpose of testing some innovative new gameplay mechanic or implementing an exciting new concept but rather to provide players with a simple and straightforward adventure experience that delivers the same delightful gameplay experience that adventure maps have always been renowned for. If you’re looking for a map that focuses on innovation then you should probably look elsewhere but, if you want a straightforward gameplay experience that stays true to the fundamentals of adventure maps, Adventure Valley is sure to impress.
Gameplay
The gameplay of Adventure Valley consists of all the delightful elements that players have come to love adventure maps for over the years such as exciting combat, various different quests to complete, challenges to overcome, and tons upon tons of different kinds of mobs to slay. The map takes place in a treacherous valley and the plot is filled to the brim with twists and turns so we won’t go into detail regarding it here in order to ensure that the experience isn’t foiled for people who still haven’t played through the map.
Compatibility and Technical Aspects
The technical aspects of the Adventure Valley map seem to be absolutely immaculate because there haven’t been any bug reports thus far and, since the map doesn’t feature any over-the-top new gameplay features, it’s highly unlikely there’ll be any bugs in it at all. Adventure Valley is meant to be played on Minecraft 1.12.2 and, as long as you play it on the correct version of the game, you probably won’t have trouble getting it to run properly.
Conclusion
Overall, while Adventure Valley might not push the adventure map category to new heights, it’s still a map that’s absolutely worth looking into.
