BLACKOUT is a thrilling horror map that’s going to have you captivated from the very moment you start playing because it offers one of the most intriguing settings that we’ve come across in a horror map and it pairs this with gameplay that could get anyone hooked from the first minute. The thing that makes this map truly stand out from the crowd, though, is the fact that it doesn’t rely on jump scares and other similar elements in order to scare players and, instead, features a genuinely creepy setting and a variety of other scary elements that’ll give you a spine chilling and highly immersive gameplay experience.
Gameplay
BLACKOUT is an adventure map that takes place in an old abandoned Russian city where you wake up one day to the sound of voices who seem to recognize who you are and are calling you out. It’s up to you to survive in this dangerous environment by scavenging for any weapons and equipment that you can find and then using it to fight any foes that stand in your path so that you can eventually make your way out of this abandoned city. The game world is filled with quite a few places to explore, the combat is engaging, the enemies are actually quite intense to fight against and, overall, the gameplay of BLACKOUT definitely doesn’t cease to impress.
Compatibility and Technical Aspects
BLACKOUT is available for Minecraft 1.12.2 only so you’ll need to be on the same version of Minecraft if you want to play it. The map doesn’t seem to have any technical flaws so you should be able to enjoy a pretty smooth experience as long as you play it on the compatible version of Minecraft.
