Escape is an engrossing map that’ll have you glued to your screen until you’ve seen everything that it brings to the table. Escape has been categorized as an adventure map, but it’s definitely worth mentioning that there’s a lot more to it than you’d initially think. Alongside the standard adventure gameplay, the map also has a variety of other engaging features that add a lot of depth to it and make it a lot more enjoyable. On top of this, another great thing about this map is that it’s really easy to get into and doesn’t have any complex gameplay mechanics, so you’ll be able to enjoy it even if you aren’t particularly adept at Minecraft’s gameplay mechanics.
One thing worth mentioning about the Escape map is the fact that, unlike traditional adventure maps, it doesn’t put that much focus on the plot. You play the role of a prisoner who awakens inside the cell of an abandoned prison. The facility is unlike any other prison because it seems to have been completely abandoned and there’s an ominous vibe about which is why you must figure out a way to get out as quickly as you can before something gets to you.
The gameplay of Escape is a combination of traditional adventure map gameplay as well as a variety of parkour and puzzle type gameplay added into the mix. The combination of different gameplay types is great because they all synergize nicely with one another thereby leading to an immersive and engaging experience. The map isn’t that long, and you’ll be able to complete it in around 15 minutes, but of course, it goes without saying that you can actually finish it much quicker if you’re skilled at the game or, on the other hand, it’ll take longer if you aren’t particularly adept at Minecraft.
