Fans of the Five Nights at Freddy’s series, especially the second game of the bunch, will probably really like the FNAF 2 Pack from DerpyEnderBros. It converts many of Minecraft’s vanilla textures into things one would normally see in the game’s restaurant, like black and white tiled floors, ventilation shaft covers, various kitchen elements and more. The textures for paintings have also been changed to recreate the various posters found throughout FNAF 2, though some of the art is borrowed from other games in the series too. Overall, the pack is great if you want to make your own Fazbear’s Pizzeria.
Of course, if you were going to go that far out of your way and design the whole building, you would want the actual animatronics from the game roaming around the place, right? Well, there are probably mods for making that exact thing happen. The FNAF 2 Pack does contain skins for some of the robots too, like Chica, Freddy and Bonnie, though they’re just skins and they don’t come with any action behind them. As it is, this pack is great for recreating scenes from the games, but it’s just half of what you need to actually get a Five Nights at Freddy’s experience in Minecraft.
Because of that, some players are no doubt going to be disappointed with this FNAF 2 resource pack. It’s faithful to the game series, that’s a fact, but it’s also just a facelift for the same old Minecraft game. Trying to hack up a spider that looks like Bonnie in the face is a lot different than running away in terror from robots trying to mangle your body. But then, if you really wanted to play FNAF, you’d probably just play it, right?
