The Hand Drawn is definitely one of the most unique resource packs out there since, as the name already suggests, it’s been drawn completely by hand. If you’re an avid player of Minecraft and have tried out a whole lot of resource packs, then you know full well that hand drawn textures are extremely uncommon. Some packs do have them but only in very minute quantities. However, every single texture in the Hand Drawn resource pack has been created manually from scratch, and this is exactly why it’s worth looking into. The pack has been out for almost a year now and still sees frequent updates, and this shows how much effort the developer has been putting into it.
All the textures of the Hand Drawn resource pack have been made from pencil, black pen and watercolors. What’s most impressive about this pack is that these textures actually synergize nicely with the overall visual style of the game, some of them even look significantly better than their vanilla counterparts. However, from time to time you can’t help but notice some roughness in some of the textures but, fortunately, these occurrences are few and far in between and won’t hinder your experience that much.
The Hand Drawn resource pack is available in a resolution of x128 which is pretty high and makes for some really sharp and crisp textures. Of course having such a high resolution is a bit of a double-edged sword since it means that players who have low-end PCs probably won’t be able to get the pack to run without having massive frame rate issues and this is probably why the Hand Drawn has so little downloads as compared to some of the other more popular packs.
