Even though the Highscore Parkour map has score right in the name, it doesn’t feature a scoreboard or any way to keep track of how well a player is doing. Whoever crosses the finish line first is the best player in the race, just like in any other competitive parkour map. It seems like some random items like wool blocks or something else could have been added to the course to add a collection aspect to the map to work alongside the race. However, what you see here is exactly what you get – a simple if not addictive parkour course made to test and agility and dexterity of players.
Installing and playing the Highscore Parkour map is as easy as installing any map. You just drag the file to the appropriate maps folder in your Minecraft directory and you’ll see it the next time you go to load up an existing world or start a new one. The only thing you need to worry about is making sure you’re using the most recent version of Minecraft. This parkour map was designed for Minecraft 1.8.x and it will either render incorrectly or simply refuse to load at all if you try running it with an older Minecraft client.
