Ink is a thrilling map that we highly recommend horror map fanatics to try out because it has probably one of the most innovative and captivating settings we’ve seen in a map of this particular category. Most horror maps we’ve seen over the years have relied on cliché concepts like jump scares in order to spook the players, but this particular map feels truly innovative because it relies on an intricately crafted setting and an extremely well thought out plot in order to deliver the spine-chilling experience that horror maps are known for. If you’re looking for a top-notch horror map that’s truly out of the ordinary, Ink is the way to go.
In Ink, you play the role of an animator who worked at a once successful studio. Your job was working out quite nicely, and everything seemed great until things gradually started changing. Your friends started drawing differently, and they all started leaving cryptic messages in all their animations. You end up leaving the studio after all this but, thirty years later, one of your friends from this studio leaves you a message inviting you back to the place. The things you’ll see at the studio will send chills down your spine, and it’s up to you to make it out in one piece before it’s too late.
In terms of gameplay, Ink doesn’t try to bring any major changes to the tried and true formula that’s been utilized in horror maps over the years so you’ll feel right at home in this map if you’ve had any prior experience with horror maps before. The map isn’t particularly challenging, but it’s still going to push your skills quite far. All said and done, Ink is an engrossing horror map that utilizes a clever setting in order to give players a truly engaging horror experience.
