The Jea Traditional resource pack is a faithful pack that, at its creation, was inspired heavily by other faithful packs such as the ones made by IStealYourRAM (Ragecraft Faithful) and HiTeen (Faithful 64×64). However, over the passage of time, Jea Traditional has received a lot of great updates and has developed its own identity. A majority of this pack’s textures have been created from scratch, but it’s worth keeping in mind that there are still a few textures that have been borrowed from other packs that share a similar art style. All things considered, though, this is definitely one of the higher quality faithful packs available for Minecraft right now.
Of course, it goes without saying that, at its core, Jea Traditional has the same art style that vanilla Minecraft does so it’s a great choice for players who are looking for high-quality visuals but don’t want to compromise on the things that define the look of Minecraft. The pack’s textures have quite a lot of detail in them and what’s most impressive is the fact that, in spite of their high level of detail, the textures seem to be completely free of noise and this is definitely a big accomplishment. The pack’s color palette isn’t as bright as one would expect but the toned down colors help give the textures a more realistic look so this is ultimately a worthwhile change.
Jea Traditional has a resolution of 64×64 which is, of course, a lot higher than the x16 that vanilla Minecraft comes with. The higher resolution means that you’ll need an above average PC to use this resource pack without running into frame-rate troubles.
