The Living Block Monsters Mod allows you to spawn about 14 unique boss monsters, all of which are based on blocks you find throughout Minecraft. And that’s about it. Right now, this mod is still in its developmental stages, and is nowhere near finished. It literally doesn’t work on Survival and Hardcore game modes, and the only reason you can get at the 14 living block mobs in Creative is because there are spawn eggs which allow you to just add them to your world with a click. For now, that’s the scope of how this mod works.
For now, it will do to just tell more about the different boss monsters available in the Living Block Monsters Mod. There’s the cactus block monster which does nausea and poison damage over time and is planned to spawn in beach biomes all over Minecraft, then there’s also the dispenser block monster which uses its dispenser to fire arrows, explosive charges and snowballs at players to keep them from getting close enough to do melee damage. These are slated to show up in plains biomes and will probably be one of the most common new mobs in this monster mod.
Other living block monsters include the gold block monster, diamond block monster and even the pumpkin block monster. These special entities come with their own unique attacks, but the gold block monster is probably the fastest out of all 14 current monsters, so do be careful if you plan to spawn one of those into your world. If you can deal with seriously overpowered mobs and you want a new PvM experience, then give the Living Block Monsters Mod a closer look. It may not be finished yet, but that won’t stop you from spawning mobs on Creative and switching to Survival mode to actually fight them.
