Mob Tower Map 1.8.9

Rarely does a single Minecraft map mix together multiple gameplay elements better than this Mob Tower map. Mob Tower features some PvM elements as the player must fight through hordes of monsters to climb the tower. It has some puzzles that must be solved to open doors, throw switches, or otherwise allow the player to progress forward. There are even some parkour sections where timed, skilled jumps will be what determines if a player moves forward or stays put right where they are. Overall, the gameplay here is widely varied and comes with a little something for everyone.

Maps that cater to large crowds like this tend to be very popular, and Mob Tower is no exception to that. However, this map has something other maps like it just don’t. Whenever you kill a monster in Mob Tower, it will drop a block at the point of its death, creating a kind of permanent change to the world around you. By killing monsters in convenient spots, you can climb to greater heights, scale walls, survive falls, and otherwise get the mobility you need to advance and make it to the end of the map. You’ll probably need to play through several times to actually beat it due to this.
