Moonwake is a resource pack that’s been designed specifically for people who play Minecraft on a low-end PC and suffer various performance issues as they play the game and roam through the world of Minecraft. Frame-rate issues can usually be dealt with if they’re minor but, during activities like PvP and mob hunting, they can end up being quite a problem because one tiny bit of lag can mean the difference between you taking down the opposition and getting slain yourself so it’s definitely recommended that you try this pack out if you play Minecraft on a PC with lackluster hardware and want to give the game a performance boost.
The best thing about Moonwake is the fact that it somehow manages to improve the visuals quite a bit while simultaneously improving the game’s performance. The in-game textures of this pack look quite spectacular since they carry a fair bit of detail and don’t seem to have that much noise in them either. The pack also sharpens the game’s colors and makes them significantly brighter than they are in vanilla Minecraft and this is a great change because it makes the game world feel a lot livelier and vibrant.
It’s important to remember, though, that the Moonwake resource pack is only compatible with Minecraft versions 1.7 and 1.8 so, if you want to use it, you might have to downgrade your Minecraft client if you’ve already updated to the newer versions of the game. The pack comes at the standard Minecraft resolution of 16×16 and this is to be expected because it’s been designed with the goal of performance enhancement in mind.
