Natural Baby Animals is a neat little mod that aims to add a touch of extra realism to the world of Minecraft by changing the way animals spawn. The mod’s not a hugely impactful one so your gameplay experience will mostly remain the same but the world of Minecraft will seem a tad bit more realistic so things will become more enjoyable for you as you play the game. If you expect groundbreaking functionality then this isn’t the mod to go with but, on the other hand, if you don’t want to alter the game’s functionality in any way and simply want to make the world feel a bit more realistic, this is the mod to go with.
The Natural Baby Animals mod makes it so that animals don’t spawn as fully grown version of themselves all the time. Instead, the mod makes it so that half of the animal spawns are baby animals and these animals will need time to grow before they can provide the same resources and benefits that fully grown animals provide. The mod does slow down the pace of the gameplay a little bit but it’s definitely worth it because the game becomes a lot more immersive due to it since players will have to take the growth rate of different animals into account.
The Natural Baby Animals mod doesn’t seem to have any noticeable customization options so the 50% spawn chance of baby animals is something that you won’t be able to change for the time being. The mod supports the baby mobs mod as well so some of the mobs featured in that particular mod can work with the functionality that Natural Baby Animals brings to the table. All said and done, this is a great little mod that a lot of players are sure to enjoy because of the sense of realism that it brings to the table.
