You can already tell from the name of the OmniJar’s Realistic resource pack what it’s been designed to do. The pack has been built to deliver players some realistic and high-quality textures while also remaining in line with the default theme of Minecraft. Creating textures that are both realistic and don’t alter the default look of the game too much can be rather challenging, but the developer behind this pack has done an excellent job of putting them together which is why this is one of the higher quality realistic packs available today. However, it’s worth mentioning that the pack is currently in alpha state and is far from completion so you’ll definitely run into a lot of missing textures but these are sure to be added in later updates.
You’ll notice in the OmniJar’s Realistic resource pack that the textures have near perfect colors that are neither too extreme and nor too dull which is why they synergize very nicely with the look of Vanilla Minecraft. The pack could definitely use a bit of optimization though since the normal loading time for it at its current state is near 50 seconds which isn’t as bad as it can be but it can definitely be given some significant improvements.
The resolution of the OmniJar’s Realistic resource pack is x512 which means that the level of sharpness and details in the textures is mind blowing, but it also means that players who aren’t running some seriously high-end PCs probably won’t be able to utilize this resource pack without running into massive frame rate and lag issues. One thing that you need to remember about this pack is that it requires Optifine to run properly and without it it’ll probably crash quite a lot.
