Redstone is the Answer is a puzzle map that, as the name implies, revolves completely around manipulating Redstone in order to get through. The gameplay mechanics of Redstone are arguably some of the most creative that exist in Minecraft and, while they might be slightly complex and therefore difficult to get the hang of, they’re worth learning because of how much they improve the gameplay. This particular map’s gameplay is based solely around the mechanics of Redstone, so if you’re a fan of utilizing Redstone in Minecraft, then there’s no doubt that you’ll enjoy this pack quite a lot.
The gameplay of Redstone is the Answer is fairly simple to get the hang of, but you’ll still need to concentrate quite a bit to successfully get through the puzzles in each stage. In order to complete the puzzles, you’ll have to flick levers around the map and alter the Redstone signals to manipulate the locking repeaters, pistons, and the comparators. Most of the gameplay in Redstone is the Answer is based around flicking levels, and you won’t actually get to place anything. There are three different stages to complete and, while the amount of stages might not seem that much, the map can still take up to 25 minutes to complete which is actually a bit longer than the play-time of most puzzle maps.
Redstone is the Answer was quite straightforward at first but, after an update, a boss fight was added to the map. A boss fight in a map such as this one might seem out of place at first, but it’s actually a nice feature and definitely, makes things a lot more enjoyable. Overall, Redstone is the Answer is a top notch map that the Redstone fanatics of Minecraft will definitely enjoy playing.
