The Restaurant plugin allows for server owners to add restaurants to their Minecraft worlds, where players can place an order, pull up a chair and wait to be served by npc villager waiters and waitresses. It’s a nice change of pace from just digging into your hundredth piece of cooked beef or pork and it helps to add a level of immersion to Minecraft which draws the player in more than ever. You don’t really have to be a server owner to use it either – this plugin works in single player just as well, or it will when it’s finished, anyhow.
Because the Restaurant plugin is still in development, some changes may or may not be made before it is finished. As things are now, it works with Minecraft 1.8.1, which is the latest version of the game. It isn’t exactly stable though. Because it’s still an Alpha, you shouldn’t be surprised if this plugin causes unexpected or unwanted performance, or if it makes Minecraft crash out completely without any warning. So it works, but it doesn’t work. It works with craftbukkit, spigot and other bukkit APIs at present and should continue to work with them once completed, so it’s quite versatile.
