Roots is another release in the long line of magic related mods that have been designed to give players access to a whole lot of extra power as they play Minecraft. However, the thing that sets Roots apart from most traditional magic related mods is the fact that the magic of this mod isn’t as destructive, and a lot of it focuses on utility rather than straight up annihilation of enemies. Due to its unique kind of magic, this mod feels refreshing and is, therefore, worth giving a shot to if you’re looking for a high-quality magic based mod.
In order to utilize all the features of the Roots mod, you’ll need to get your hands on the Runic Tablet. This tablet is created by an item known as old root, and you can acquire old root through the standard in-game grass. The Runic Tablet is important because it holds all the important information that you need to utilize the features of this mod so once you have access to it, you’ll be able to do incredible things. When utilized properly, this mod can allow you to perform many impressive feats like creating extremely potent tools, make machines perform their functions multiples faster, transform debuffs into buffs and even create the crystal staff that will take care of all your spellcasting needs.
It’s worth noting that in its current state, the Roots mod has actually had a few items removed because they were a bit too powerful for example the engraved sword. The removal of these items might have put a few players off, but it’s actually a good thing because it’s a testament to the fact that the mod is being well maintained and kept in line. Overall, if a simple and relatively peaceful magic based mod is what you desire then consider trying this one out.
