Runo8x is an incredibly creative resource pack that does an excellent job of proving that you don’t need an insanely high resolution to put together a pack that looks good. As you can probably tell by its name, the Runo8x pack has been built at a resolution of 8×8 which is definitely lower than the standard 16×16 but, in spite of this, the pack looks really high quality, and we definitely recommend giving it a shot if you’re looking for a resource pack that’s out of the ordinary.
If you’ve used the Jalele resource pack, then there’s a good chance that you’ll be familiar with the visuals of the Runo8x pack. This pack can essentially be thought of as a version of Jalele that’s been scaled down to a lower resolution with a few other changes thrown in. In spite of the pack’s 8×8 resolution, the textures of Runo8x look really well detailed and they seem to have a very natural look that synergizes quite nicely with the overall blocky visual style of Minecraft. It’s important to keep in mind, though, that while there’s a lot of good things to say about this particular pack, it does come with its fair share of downsides with perhaps the biggest one being the fact that the colors look a tad bit dull. Some of the textures also seem to have a fair bit of noise in them, but this is a pretty minor issue since it doesn’t effect a large amount of textures.
Of course, the best part about the 8×8 resolution of Runo8x is the fact that players will be able to use the pack without any troubles. Even if you’re playing Minecraft on a low-end PC, you’ll be able to use this pack and get stable frame-rates all the time.
