The Simplified resource pack does exactly what its name would have you believe. If you feel that the default textures of Minecraft are way too overbearing or have too much noise in them or are way too colorful then this is the pack that you should be using. The pack came out three years ago and it’s still going strong thanks to the endless string of updates that it’s received over the course of these two years and, thanks to all these updates, it’s also compatible with the latest versions of Minecraft which is definitely a huge plus.
We want to point out that you probably shouldn’t expect a massive change in the in-game visuals after applying this resource pack. The pack tries to simplify the game’s textures but it also makes sure that it does so without altering their art style and this is why the changes made by this pack can be hard to spot at first. However, even though the alterations made by the Simplified are subtle, they’re still highly effective because the game looks significantly cleaner and much more appealing thanks to them. Perhaps the biggest achievement of this resource pack is how it manages to completely remove noise from the game’s textures.
The Simplified resource pack has a resolution of x16 which is fitting since it’s been designed to simply clean up the game’s textures and not overhaul them in anyway. Thanks to the low resolution, it’s unlikely that you’ll have any trouble getting the game to run with a smooth frame-rate when you’re using this resource pack.
