Starvation Ahoy is an expertly crafted mod that aims to completely overhaul Minecraft’s food system in order to make the game feel more realistic than ever. Food consumption in Minecraft never had any major depth to it because it’s a fairly straightforward thing that players do simply to avoid hunger when playing Minecraft. However, the Starvation Ahoy mod realizes the potential of this particular gameplay aspect and completely overhauls it in order to give players a more realistic and engaging experience that adds an incredible amount of depth to the gameplay and, in turn, makes Minecraft a lot more enjoyable.
Minecraft is filled to the brim with various kinds of food items for players to consume but the actual process of consuming these items is pretty stale because all players do is click on them and then they’re consumed. However, the Starvation Ahoy implements various new gameplay aspects into the mix such as cooking, dirt and nutrition into the mix in order to make food consumption feel like a more engaging process. After using this mod, you won’t be able to simply click on your food items in order to consume them and, instead, you’ll actually have to go through various different processes much like you do in the real world.
In order to consume things like crops after applying the Starvation Ahoy mod, you’ll actually have to wash them in order to get rid of the dirt first and, on the other hand, anything that produces meat will need to be skinned and hanged before you can actually start consuming them. Starvation Ahoy is without a doubt among the most well thought out mods out there because it implements an extremely in-depth system into the game and, all things considered, you’d be missing out if you choose not to try it out.
