One thing that simply needs to be said about the Stickland resource pack before all else is that this pack is mainly suited for people with peculiar tastes. A lot of people use Minecraft resource packs because they add a lot of visual flare to the game by enhancing the color, adding more detail to the textures and through various other means. However, the Stickland resource pack doesn’t necessarily follow that trend. It’s definitely one of the most unique packs out there and you might just like using it if you want to give Minecraft’s visuals a weird twist.
The thing that defines the Stickland resource pack is the fact that its color palette only consists of five different shades of gray. Most Minecraft resource packs have bright and vibrant color palettes that elevate the visuals to the next level, but the color scheme utilized in this particular pack doesn’t seem to serve that purpose. Instead, the different shades of gray give the pack a rather unique look that you don’t usually see. This pack will definitely impress you if you’re looking for a completely wacky and out of the ordinary visual experience but you probably won’t like it if you’re looking for a resource pack with bright and vibrant visuals.
While the colors might be slightly bland, the Stickland does feature some pretty highly detailed textures that actually look quite clean. The pack’s resolution is x16 and this, coupled with the fact that there aren’t all that many colors, means that you’ll be able to run it without any trouble. Stickland is still in development right now, so a lot of its textures are missing, but these will likely be added through updates in the future.
