SugiForest is a pretty small mod that’s managed to receive quite a lot of popularity and critical acclaim from its users. If you’re familiar with trees in Japan, then you’ll probably recognize the name of this mod because it’s been inspired directly by the Sugi tree. The tree that this mod’s been inspired by holds quite a lot of significance in Japan because it’s seen pretty much everywhere and this mod aims to add this tree into Minecraft as well. However, on top of simply adding the tree, the mod implements various other features as well that you’re sure to enjoy using.
The SugiForest mod basically implements an entire Sugi Forest biome into the game that, as you can probably guess, is filled to the brim with Sugi trees. Alongside these trees, the biome also has various special features that we won’t spoil here so you should definitely do some exploration on your own to uncover the mystical secrets. One thing that we like quite a bit about the SugiForest is the fact that it even implements special blocks and items relating to Sugi Trees and these blocks and items are actually quite useful, so you’re bound to utilize them at one point or another during your Minecraft adventures.
The SugiForest mod has been constructed near flawlessly, so you’ll hardly ever run into any bugs while using it. It’s worth mentioning, though, that the mod requires Minecraft Forge version 13.20.0.2262 or newer as well as Java version 8 or newer to function properly. The mod’s available for all versions of Minecraft ranging from 1.7 to 1.11, so it’s highly unlikely that you’ll run into compatibility issues when you use it. Overall, SugiForest is a tiny but intriguing mod that’s sure to add a bit of extra spice to your Minecraft experience.
