The Sumo is definitely one of the most interesting Minecraft maps we’ve come across because it’s quite simple to get into but incredibly hard to let go of. Just as the name suggests, the Sumo map functions quite similarly to how sumo wrestling does and this activity is absolutely delightful in Minecraft. You’ll get to take on your opponents in a fast paced game of sumo wrestling in which your goal will be to either push them off the playing field or to stay in the playing area for a specified amount of time. Overall, it’s a great map that’s sure to have you hooked.
The best part about the Sumo map is the fact that its straightforward gameplay is enhanced quite a bit by the variety of modifications that it has to offer. The modifiers are Nausea, Jump Boost, Speed Boost, Blindness, and, finally, Nausea. Each one of the modifiers adds a ton of depth to the gameplay and it’ll be up to you to utilize them or play around them properly if you want to come out ahead of your opponents. Perhaps the best part about this map is that there are multiple different ways to knock opponents off the platform and figuring these ways out is a very satisfying thing to do.
The Sumo fully supports multiplayer, as it should, and you can play it with up to four players which is more than enough. We definitely recommend trying your best to get four players playing this map together because this quantity of players leads to an incredibly intense and engaging experience that you do not want to miss out on. All said and done, Sumo is an exciting Minecraft map that’ll have you hooked for countless hours as you try to push your opponents off the playing field as best as you can.
