The Contagion is a captivating horror map in which players play the role of a journalist who’s on a quest to investigate a disease that’s spread across a local town and is annihilating every single thing in its path. Much like any other horror map worth its salt, The Contagion comes with a captivating and extremely well-thought-out story that’ll have you hooked from the moment you start playing and it pairs this plot with gameplay that’s highly engaging and, of course, some pretty ominous visuals that come together to make The Contagion an incredibly appealing map.
Gameplay
The core gameplay of The Contagion doesn’t stray too far from the fundamentals that have defined horror maps over the years so you likely won’t find anything out of the ordinary but, nonetheless, you’ll be in for a pretty engaging experience as the map is filled with twists and turns, there are various locations to explore and even custom items that you can utilize that have special effects. The Contagion also comes with proper multiplayer support for up to 2 players so, if you have a friend who’s willing to tag along, we definitely recommend playing together as it enhances the overall experience by a tremendous amount. The Contagion also has branching storylines so you can actually get one of three separate endings depending on how you play through it.
Compatibility and Technical Aspects
The Contagion seems to be absolutely spot-on as far as the technical side of things is concerned so it’s a map that you probably won’t have any trouble getting to run properly as long as you play it on version 1.11.2 of Minecraft as this is the version of the game it’s compatible with.
