The Last Cookie is a rather unique map in the sense that it doesn’t focus as much on the gameplay as the usual Minecraft maps do. However, it’s still worth playing because it comes with a story that’s worth playing the whole thing right until the final second. The actual gameplay behind it is quite simple, and there’s no actual challenge factor involved so this is essentially the perfect map to play if you’re looking for a more laidback experience that you can enjoy without having to try your hardest in order to survive until the very end.
The majority of The Last Cookie’s gameplay consists of interacting with objects in a specific manner and solving relatively simple puzzles in order to get further and further. The main focal point of this map, as mentioned before, is its story so you should pay attention to all the dialogues that occur as they’re important to the plot. The map is relatively short, and you’ll be done with it fairly quickly, but it’s still worth every single second of effort put in because the ending is just beautiful. We won’t spoil anything here, but we will say that it’s very well thought out and does an excellent job of tying every single thing together.
In order to make the most out of The Last Cookie map, you’ll need to play it with a few specific settings. First of all, you’ll need to set the render distance to the exact value of 3, nothing higher nothing lower, and alongside this the FOV needs to be set to 80. Once these settings have been configured, you’ll be able to enjoy the map in all its glory and go through its captivating story that’s sure to impress anyone who gives it a shot.
