If you’ve been playing Minecraft for a while then you have probably had the pleasure of enjoying quite a lot of parkour maps because they’re definitely one of the most, if not the most, popular map types out there. However, even if you’ve had your fair share of parkour maps, you probably haven’t played a parkour map that puts a lot of heavy emphasis on trees. The Tree Runner map is one such map and is worth trying out mainly due to the fact that it delivers a unique and refreshing experience and is really well designed overall.
The objective of the levels in the Tree Runner map is to get from one platform to another but in order to get to the target platform you’ll have to parkour through trees instead of the ground like it usually is. The tree parkour is actually a bit more challenging than the usual style so players need to play at their absolute best in order to progress in this map. Another thing that adds to the challenge of this map is the fact that the trees are actually decaying at a steady rate so if they stick too long to one specific tree then it might completely decay and the whole level would then need to be repeated again.
The Tree Runner map has been designed by OferSurfup and Jessetc and is available for Minecraft 1.8.X so make sure that your client’s version is correct before applying this map in order to avoid any issues. The only bug that players have encountered with this map is a really minor one that occurs on level 12 but that bug has been patched out so at its current state, the Tree Runner map has no major bugs that might affect your experience. All things aside, one important thing to remember about this map is that the render distance needs to be set to 15+ chunks when you play it or there might be some issues.
