The first thing you’ll probably notice about the Waterfront Home map is the fact it’s not really along a shore – it’s suspended in glass right on top of the ocean in the middle of nowhere. There are no other bodies of land around as far as the eye can see, but with the amount of content available right on the island with the house, there’s plenty to do without hopping on a boat. The home itself is huge, being several chunks in size in all directions. It fills out the inside of the glass cage pretty well, but there is still room for trees and other things.
In fact, there is a tree farm on top of the house which will give you enough wood to get by with minimum maintenance. There’s plenty of room for adding other fixtures as well. The roof also features an area with water and shrubs where the player can fish and get a decent food supply without needing to worry about caging up livestock. Everything you need to survive is in or around the house, which makes the Waterfront Home map one of those rare island survival-type maps that actually do everything right.
