The Last Days resource pack is an exciting post-apocalyptic themed resource pack that was originally designed by Doku a while back. However, Doku discontinued the pack after a while and shifted attention towards other packs which was rather unfortunate because Last Days should have a lot of potential. However, thankfully, this pack has been taken over by dereksmith, and he’s done an excellent job of keeping the pack up to date. The goal of Last Days is to give players a full-fledged experience that has all the features that they’d expect from a top-of-the-line resource pack.
The Last Days pack some of the highest quality landscape textures that we’ve seen in quite some time. The dirt, grass, stone, water and vegetation textures of this pack are an absolute delight to look at. The colors of the pack aren’t necessarily as bright as those in run-of-the-mill Minecraft, but this is definitely a good thing because the toned down color palette synergizes perfectly with the post-apocalyptic theme of the game. It’s worth mentioning that the art style of the Last Days pack has received some minor changes after control of it went to dereksmith and, thankfully, most of these changes are quite nice and make the pack a lot more appealing to look at.
On top of all its other features, Last, Days also has a variety of really high-quality sound effects that make things a lot livelier thereby making the experience more immersive. The pack has a resolution of x32, so you probably won’t need a high-end PC to run it without frame-rate issues.
