RPCraft Mod for Minecraft 1.8

In a game like Minecraft where detailed worlds and fantastic stories can be drawn up and created for players to enjoy, it only makes sense that some players will want to role play and really get into the experience. The RPCraft mod is perfect for players who both want to create an interesting roleplaying world for others, as well as those who have been looking for a way to dress up and improve their single player gaming. RPCraft adds a number of features, furniture and other items to Minecraft to make the game appear more believable and realistic, if you can believe it.

For starters, you get locks and keys which can be placed on doors. Once a lock has been placed on a door, only keys of the corresponding color can open that lock, and only players carrying the right keys will be able to get through the right doors. RPCraft also features working chairs that players can actually sit in, as well as tables which look more like tables than the usual pressure plates stacked on top of fence posts most players use. One odd thing worth noting is that the custom recipe for beds in RPCraft may actually interfere with other mods and their function.

If you can get past that, then this mod is fantastic in terms of how it fleshes out Minecraft and makes the world feel more believable and real. Upgrades to some vanilla blocks and the introduction of totally new blocks, like the Firestone block which lights up and keeps burning as long as a redstone signal is incoming, all allow for players to approach Minecraft in new and interesting ways. Puzzle enthusiasts may want to grab the RPCraft mod just for the new puzzles it would allow them to make and share with others.
