The SapixCraft Original resource pack by developer Sapix is the resource pack for players who want a no-holds barred experience and would like their Minecraft to look straight up breathtaking. It’s a highly anticipated mod that’s currently a work in progress but is still enough for use. It tries to keep things realistic and simple, so you won’t notice any over-the-top changes to the game’s default look but what you will notice are some incredible-looking textures that are probably unlike anything that previous resource packs have had to offer.
Bear in mind that such a high quality comes at a bit of a price. The SapixCraft Original resource pack has a resolution of x512 which is absolutely massive considering the fact that Minecraft’s default is only x16. The insane resolution does mean that you’ll be able to view some astounding visuals, but it also means that you’ll need an incredibly strong PC in order to run it properly. Even on a mid-range PC, this pack will struggle to run so it’s recommended that you use it only if your hardware can support it otherwise you’ll probably put a very massive strain on your machine.
Thankfully, the developer of the SapixCraft Original resource pack has plans to design lower resolution variants as well so the entirety of the player-base can enjoy this mod but it might take a while before said variants are actually released. Other than this he also plans to bring in connected textures in the near future as well, and these will definitely take the experience to a whole new level. As for its technicals, the pack is relatively bug/glitch-free so you’ll rarely, if ever, run into any occurrences in which it bugs out.
