The Additional Food Mod for Minecraft 1.8

The Additional Food Mod for Minecraft is a solid and highly useful mod that adds a whole lot of food to Minecraft. There are multitudes of food mods out there for this game so you might be thinking what sets this one apart from the rest. Well, basically it has a pretty solid variety of food items that it implements. Another reason it’s worth looking into is that it came out fairly recently so the developer is actively working on it and alongside this there’s also the fact that it’s compatible with most if not all versions of Minecraft. However, one thing worth remembering is that it doesn’t work well with the Forge for Minecraft 1.8.9.

Overall, The Additional Food mod brings in multitudes of new food-related content into the game. Anything ranging from fruits to desserts, this mod has it. Perhaps the most unique thing about it is that it allows you to craft full food blocks which is something that most other similar mods don’t allow. Some examples of food blocks are the caramel blocks, salt blocks and, of course, the chocolate blocks. Alongside all the rest of these things, you’ll also get special seeds that can be used to grow lots of different kinds of crops. Keep in mind though that the fruits you get from these seeds are decided at random so you might have to plant a few before you get the one you want.

In total, The Additional Food mod features a total of 48 unique food items and 8 unique blocks for players to enjoy. It’s pretty solid on a technical level as well as there aren’t any major bugs or glitches in it. The mod has a pretty active developer as well, so it’s sure to see more improvements over time.
