The Village Info mod is one of the most useful mods for Minecraft to date, especially if you’re the type of player who loves finding NPC villages to settle into and call home. This mod does two major things: first, it tells you if there are any villages nearby, with a radius you can adjust through one of the mod’s files to make it huge and expansive or relatively close to your character. Second, it tells you stats about the village you’re currently standing in, such as how many villagers there are, how many golems there are, if villagers will breed after you trade with them enough, and more.
Like the Slime Mod which makes it easier to locate slimes, the Village Info mod features an amazing and simple interface which requires making literally no adjustments to Minecraft at all. All you do is press F3 like you normally would to figure out information like your current coordinates, bearing, height and more. With the mod installed, you’ll see a few more lines which relay the information already explained above. It’s just easy, just a single button push. Besides being easy to install and a real time-saver, this mod is incredibly easy to use – there’s just nothing bad to say about it.
