The Yell Mod is one of those mods that you never knew you wanted up until the point you’ve used then and once you’ve had the opportunity to use them then you simply do not want to let go of what they bring to the table. It’s a pretty straightforward mod but it’s still definitely worth checking out. What it basically does is that it implements a yell button into the game that, as the name suggests, allows you to yell with the press of a button. The default yell key is set to ‘Y’, but you can change that according to your preferences.
Although it might sound really simple on paper, there’s actually a fair amount of depth to the mod that you’ll see after using it a bit. Alongside making an awesome yelling noise, your character will also undergo some visual changes while yelling, for example, it’ll get weird derpy eyes, and its body will begin to shake like crazy. These visual features make the mod feel more complete and, of course, more enjoyable. Objects around you will have various reactions when you yell on them so try yelling at blocks and see all the delightful things that happen when you do so.
The yell can also be made more powerful by holding it down and then charging it for a while before finally releasing. The cap for how much you can charge is pretty big so you can hold the button for a while and let out an incredibly powerful roar that has the potential to devastate even fully constructed structures. It’s pretty fun to let out a fully powered yell and watching a whole village turn into smithereens right before your eyes. Overall, this is a pretty well-executed mod that’s worth trying out whenever you get the chance to.
