However, names aside, it’s a spectacular map that promises to deliver an immersive and nailbiting experience to all players who get the chance to try it out. It’s worth mentioning that the map isn’t anything revolutionary so you shouldn’t expect to see any groundbreaking new features when playing it. However, while the map might not deliver on innovation, it definitely delivers in terms of execution because the gameplay feels extremely smooth at all points. Overall, this is a high-quality horror map that’ll certainly give you the spooks.
As you’d expect, A Dark and Stormy Night in the Forest takes place on a rainy night in the depths of a mysterious forest. This setting is absolutely perfect for a horror map because the very thought of being alone in the middle of a strange forest on a rainy night is enough to send chills down anyone’s spine. You’ll wake up in a tent inside the forest and must get out as quickly as possible, but this will be a difficult task as there’s someone, or something, lurking in the forest that’s out to get you.
It’s important to keep in mind that you’ll need to set the game mode to 2 and the brightness of the game to 30% in order to play the map as it was meant to be played. A Dark and Stormy Night in the Forest can’t really be considered challenging but it’s definitely scary, and this is the main purpose of horror maps. We definitely suggest staying away from this map if you scare easily or are faint of heart because they’ll be various occurrences in which you’ll be spooked. Overall, A Dark and Stormy Night in the Forest is a thrilling and spine-chilling horror map that horror fanatics will no doubt enjoy.
