Night of the Undead is a challenging but captivating survival style PvE map in which your goal is to fight through one of the most difficult nights of your life by bringing down the hordes of incoming zombies who will stop at nothing to get you. The map uses the standard wave-based style of play in which you must battle your way through waves upon waves of zombies with each wave of course being stronger and tougher to deal with than the last. If you end up dying during a wave, then you’ll have to start from the very beginning so it’s best to keep your reflexes sharp at all times while playing this map or you might have to replay it multiple times before seeing the end.
In Night of the Undead, there are five different waves of zombies that you need to annihilate. By killing the mobs, you’ll be given their drops, and these drops can then be sold for XP which you can use in the map shop to purchase various kinds of useful weapons and equipment that’ll help you get through the night. The map also has two hidden rooms that you can move around to outmaneuver your foes and get a positional advantage. The map also features over 500 command blocks as well as different kinds of special abilities that you can use to wreck the zombies.
In order to enjoy the Night of the Undead map optimally, you’ll need to make sure that your gamma setting is set to 1.0, and your render distance is at 8+ chunks. One feature that this map lacks is a proper multiplayer mode, so if you were hoping to play it side by side with a friend, then that won’t be possible. It’s also important to note that the map doesn’t support any versions of Minecraft that are 1.9 or above.
