Armor Chroma is a mod that targets the armor bar of Minecraft in order to make it look livelier than it usually is. Before we go into any of the mod’s detail, we want to highlight the fact that it’s not meant to make any gameplay changes so you won’t see any new functionality when you use it. However, what you will experience, is a much better looking armor bar that actually blends in nicely with the rest of the Minecraft environment and feels like a massive improvement over the stale armor bar that comes with vanilla Minecraft.
The Armor Chroma mod’s armor bar is quite spectacular since it actually changes its color depending on what your armor is. The mod comes with different armor bar icons for different kinds of armor so the bar will immediately be able to identify whatever armor you’re wearing and it’ll display it for you to see. The bar also displays a subtle but creative shine whenever you have enchanted armor equipped and this is certainly a nice touch that players are going to like quite a lot. Alongside all this, the bar even indicates different leather colors.
The Armor Chroma mod fully supports a variety of other mods like Blood Magic, IC2, Thaumcraft, Thermal Foundation and a bunch of others so, if you ever use it simultaneously with one, or more, of these mods, you won’t have to worry about any compatibility issues showing up and giving you tedious problems to deal with. As for the technical side of things, Armor Chroma feels spot-on since it doesn’t have any major bugs or issues that would hinder the experience for players so, all said and done, if you feel that the traditional armor bar of Minecraft is a bit dull, Armor Chroma is a mod that you should try out.
