Asleep is a Minecraft map in the theme of many other horror maps. It is essentially a trip into the world of dreams, and unfortunately, nightmares in turn. This map is a massive collection of different command blocks, some with commands running for hundreds of lines at a time. These allow for some very strange things to happen while playing through the map and without the use of any mods or other specialized content. That means you don’t need to download anything else for Asleep to work optimally. It contains everything it needs to give you the best experience possible when downloaded.
If you do play on Asleep, be sure to set your render distance relatively high, up to 12 chunks, or maybe even a little higher if you can manage it. This is odd for a horror map which should rely on low visibility to make the game tense for the player, but it works to good effect on this map. Be prepared to interact with complex Redstone machinery, an engrossing story, and solid adventure gameplay if you do decide to try out Asleep. The map is solid in all respects and doesn’t disappoint where things are important, so it’s worth a try.
