BrighTime is a gorgeous resource pack by RoberTime that aims to bring soft and cartoonish visuals into the Minecraft world in order to make the game easier on the eyes. The vanilla visuals of vanilla Minecraft can definitely be appealing but, over time, they become repetitive and eventually become straight up dull if you play the game for long periods of time. Thankfully, though, the BrighTime resource pack gets rid of this issue entirely by overhauling the visuals of the game’s terrain in order to make it look more appealing and less overbearing than it generally does.
It’s important to point out that the BrighTime resource pack only focuses on the blocks and terrain of Minecraft so most of the other aspects will remain as they are. Fortunately, the BrighTime resource pack’s art style doesn’t differ too drastically from vanilla Minecraft’s style, so the new block and terrain textures actually synergize nicely with all the old textures that the game comes with. The terrain and block textures featured in this mod carry a fair bit of detail, don’t have any noticeable amount of noise in them and are backed up by an extremely vibrant color palette, so they’re an absolute treat to look at while wandering through the world.
The textures of the BrighTime resource pack have the standard Minecraft resolution of x16, and this is why it’s unlikely that you’ll face any performance drops while using this pack. It’s also worth pointing out that Biomes O’ Plenty support is going to be added to the pack quite shortly and this’ll be great news for a lot of players.
