Build-Off Parkour is a top notch parkour map that emphasizes on the competitive aspect significantly more than most other maps of this category. It’s worth remembering that this map doesn’t offer any kind of actual single player gameplay so in order to play it like it’s supposed to you’ll need a buddy who you can go up against. The map features a total of twenty different custom parkour courses and the course that you get to play will be decided at random each time. The objective of each course is to carve your own path through it by placing blocks in a manner that would create a path between the three redstone lamps. Up until now the pack has been downloaded over 500 times which is pretty impressive considering the fact that it’s been out for less than two days.
The Build-Off Parkour map is without a doubt one of the most creative parkour maps out there because you actually have to think ahead and modify the course in order to progress further through it which is something that hasn’t been seen before and adds quite a bit of depth to the already exciting gameplay. The map has to be played with a minimum of two people but if there are more of you then it can be played with a maximum of four players at once.
In order to enforce all of its rules, the Build-Off Parkour map has a custom command block setup. It should be mentioned that this map was originally designed to be used with Minecraft 1.9 so it might have a few issues with backward compatibility therefore if you want to enjoy all that it has to offer without any problems then make sure that you’re on the appropriate version of the game.
