Craftable Waypoints Mod for Minecraft 1.8

Craftable Waypoints is an extremely useful and convenient mod that allows players to place waypoints without having to go through any unnecessary hassles. Waypoints are basically sorts of markers that you can place on the game world to mark an important location so that you can come back to it and know its location at all times. Waypoints not only show you exactly where your location is, but they also show you exactly how far away you are from it which makes exploration and travelling a tad bit less tedious since you’re allowed to plan ahead in a way.

There have been waypoint related mods before, but none of them have displayed the level of finesse and polish that Craftable Waypoints. This mod actually has players make some effort in order to create their waypoints since, as the name suggests, they have to be crafted which is unlike the other waypoint mods. The crafting is of course done through the crafting table in which you need to input the whole waypoint recipe in order to get access to one. The table also allows players to personalize their waypoints by coloring them according to their likings and preferences.

All things set aside, perhaps one of the biggest highlights of the Craftable Waypoints mod is the extremely useful teleportation wand that makes travelling around the world an absolute breeze. This wand allows players to teleport to any waypoint by aiming towards it and clicking + holding the right mouse button. One minor flaw with the Craftable Waypoints is that if you place too many of these points around the world, then they tend to make the screen a tad messy since they’re supposed to be visible at all times but other than this it’s pretty well designed and worth looking into.

New idea for waypoints.
Ok, so you cant really teleport to them but when you walk around you will see them….I would just, like, cheat in some diamond/emerald/gold/iron blocks in for a beacon (If on survival), then color the beacon any color [FOR EXAMPLE: GREEN] then with the color chosen get a colored dye (The same color as beacon) then put the beacon in your chosen area then use the dye you have and name it what you want (or what notifies you of what that “Way point” is. [FOR EXAMPLE: “Oh i like this Jungle temple” “im going to waypoint it” “oh wait i dont have a waypoint mod, i remember looking for them but none worked ;-;” “hmm” “I HAVE AN IDEA” *Gets beacon and blocks to activate it.* *Gets colored glass to color the light (Green for this e.g)* *Gets green dye (to match the green beacon)* AND BAM THERE YA GO!!!

I have been using this for a while lmao i also have a sign telling me what color is what beacon coz i like to mix the colors up 🙂

Xaero’s minimap mode has a waypoint feature built into it and the waypoints look the same as the ones in this mod. Xaero’s minimap also has a teleport feature, but you don’t have to craft any thing. This just seems like a ripoff of a small feature in another mod, but with added steps to make it seem original.
